Join us to celebrate the opening night of Rufus Wainwright and Robert Wilson’s Shakespeare’s Sonnets at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) on October 7, 2014. Iambic pentameter gets a surreal makeover in this pop-opera romp through Shakespeare’s sonnets. The enigmatic poems are pared down to 25 selections, set to everything from medieval German Minnesang to cabaret rock and performed by Bertolt Brecht’s historic Berliner Ensemble.

In dedication to Robert W. Wilson
