Dear Friends of The Last Song of Summer,
Robert Wilson is turning 70 this year and we are planning four wonderful tribute events.
Please save the dates! We will have events around Bob's upcoming premieres in Milan (September 19th), Berlin (September 29th), New York (October 4th) and Paris (November 4th). Since Bob does not want any presents, the motto for these events is "your presence is the present" and we hope that many of you will buy our special benefit tickets. Just a tip from our side, the 3 Penny Opera tickets at BAM on October 4th will sell out super fast, so if you want to be part of this (on the actual day of Bob's birthday), please book ASAP.
The revenues of these events will help to secure the future programs of The Watermill Center. The invitations are going out and you will be able to purchase tickets via the following link: www.watermillcenter.org/birthday
We appreciate that there is a limit to all these celebrations and therefore we have decided to give the vocal chords of Rufus Wainwright and his special guests a rest this year and postpone our annual Watermill benefit concert The Last Song of Summer. We will resume this wonderful tradition next year.
We want to thank all those enthusiastic patrons who have joined us through the years and have given Rufus, Jessye Norman, Norah Jones and Kylie Minogue their admiration and applause.
Last but not least, we look forward to seeing you also at our 18th Annual Summer Gala, on July 30th (Voluptuous Panic), where we will start celebrating Bob's 70th birthday and have some special birthday surprises not only for him, but also for you. Tickets are on sale for that at www.watermillcenter.org/benefit
Have a wonderful summer!
See you soon,
Sherry and Jorn
