Join us for an evening focused around the practice of artistic research for writers. Artist-in-Residence and American art historian, Lauren DiGiulio, leads a writing workshop inspired by her work while in residence, followed by an information session with our staff, exploring how The Watermill Center can be used as a resource for artistic research.

Utilizing material from the Byrd Hoffman Watermill Foundation Archives, art historian Lauren DiGiulio will share her process of exploring and relating the Watermill Collection to her current work, and invites participants to respond to the Collection through a guided writing activity.

Lauren DiGiulio is an art historian and dramaturg whose scholarship focuses on contemporary dance and performance. She is a PhD Candidate in Visual and Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester, where she has taught in Gender, Sexuality, Women’s Studies and Art History.
